Known best for her passion to dress up everyday, Amanda has been
transforming the body into a artistic creation though her clothing since the
infamous silver pants were bought in '95. Since then fashion, both as reality
and in concept, has become second nature. Graduated from UCSC with a
degree in Theatre Arts Costume Design then pursuing a degree in Fashion
Design at FIDM she hangs in limbo between the world of costume and fashion
being pulled in both directions every step of the way.
Often asking the question what is the difference between fashion and
costume? Is there a line? Can one step over it?
Her love of the theatre has provoked her to ask many questions of her designs
in fashion that have blurred the line even more in her own mind.
Often inspired by the past (and love of corsets!) her designs reflect her love
of fashion (costume) history and hope her wearers feel this reflected in her
designs.
